Campers will discover the inventors of objects that we see and use every day. Also, campers will explore, plan, and create with adventures in problem solving and hands-on challenges to experiment with their designs and inventions.
Wonder Labs- June 10-14 or July 15-19
Wonder Lab is the ultimate STEM lab (Science Technology Engineering and Math) that brings the magic of science to life and ignites your child’s curiosity through hands on play. Future scientists will conduct experiments using materials found around the house and from nature.
Grossology- June 17-21 or July 22-26 Ewww! You’ve never had so much fun with the ooey, gooey and gross things of science! This camp will get down and dirty with things that creep, crawl, and even poop. Campers will show their guts, as they learn how foods are processed in their digestive systems and see what else makes us cough, sneeze and toot. This camp is not for the faint-hearted!
Art-tastic Investigation- June 24-28 or July 29-August 2 A is for artist, B is for brush, C is for color—and that’s just the beginning of our art adventure! Campers will explore how artists create their fun, quirky, and Art-Tastic creations. Let’s investigate the different methods of art by using a variety of art supplies, craft media, art related stories, and games. Be an investigator of art and find the clues to unleash their creativity.
Completed 1st or 2nd Grade:
Innovative Inventors- June 3-7 or July 8-12 Ignite your child’s curiosity about inventions and engineering. Inventions are all around you from Earth to Space. Junior engineers will create your own nano-rover to “travel” into space. Discover the simple machines that we use every day… pulley, lever and incline plane. Explore, plan, and create your own innovative inventions. Who will be today’s inventor?
Wonder Labs- June 10-14 or July 15-19 Science is experimental, exploratory and exciting! It’s all about the “AHA” moments in life…like when you figure out how something works, or realize that science and cooking go hand in hand! How is chemistry related in the kitchen? Let’s bake and find out. This camp is designed to explore STEM lab (Science Technology Engineering and Math) and build on children’s curiosity.
Grossology- June 17-21 or July 22-26 Ewww! You’ve never has so much fun learning about the gross things of science! Human –ology from head to toe- and the inside. Yes, inside explore why EVERYBODY poops. Learn about basics of your five senses: sound, touch, sight, taste and smell. Slimy boogers … Yes, let’s slime into body fluids. Making your very own slime boogers, you will enjoy tricking your friends on your big sneeze. This camp is not for the faint-hearted!
Art-tastic Investigation- June 24-28 or July 29-August 2 Paint brushes, watercolors, Markers, Van-Goooogh! What will your artist create? This week you will get a chance to explore, plan, and create some of your own amazing inventions. Maybe something brand new will be created- patent pending!
Wonder Labs- June 10-14 or July 15-19 “Calling all scientist!” Let’s engage in fun, interactive investigations to stimulate curiosity, and encourage cooperative discovery and problem solving. This camp is designed to explore STEM lab (Science Technology Engineering and Math) and build on children’s curiosity, this camp provides hands on learning by conducting field investigations to learn about physics and chemistry. Campers will perform mind boggling experiments such as gravity-free water and how high a geyser can really go.
Grossology- June 17-21 or July 22-26 Get ready for a week that is sure to make you cringe with excitement. Join in the fun as we make our own slimy snot and find out about how the mucus our body creates can be a bother but ultimately has a real beneficial way of protecting our bodies. We will do experiments that demonstrate some of the more “disgusting” aspects of human physiology. This camp is not for the faint-hearted!
Art-tastic Investigation- June 24-28 or July 29-August 2 ArtVentures! Curiosity will be the guide as campers explore well-known artist such as O’ Keeffe, Kandinsky, and Garcia.
