Destination Imagination: June 5-9 (Destination Exploration); July 10-14 (All Around the World)
Providing adventures in problem solving with hands-on challenging activities, campers’ days will be filled with mental muscle-stretching games and zany fun guaranteed to get creative juices flowing! Campers will be empowered to approach life’s challenges with confidence by honing their creative, critical thinking, leadership, and problem solving abilities.
Grossology: June 12-16 (All Things Living); July 17-21 (All Around the World)
Ewww! You’ve never had so much fun with the ooey, gooey and gross things of science! This camp will get down and dirty with red wiggler worms and other bugs that help us. Campers will show their guts, as they learn how foods are processed in their digestive systems and see what else makes us cough, sneeze and toot. This camp is not for the faint-hearted!
Colorific World: June 19-23 (All Around the World); July 24-28 (Destination Exploration)
We live in a wonderful world of color. This creative camp will explore the amazing variety of animals in our world, how they adapt to their environment—even “wearing camouflage” to protect themselves. Various mediums—from chalk, pastels, watercolors and more—will be used to create creatures from all around the world. A nature-themed book will be given to each camper.
It’s a Texas Thing: June 26-30; July 31- August 4 (All Things Living)
Howdy y’all! How ‘bout those Texas critters? This camp will build on children’s natural interest in animals, plants, and insects found in their own backyards. Various Texas regions, environments, and much more, will be explored. A Texas-themed book will be given to each camper.
Completed 2nd through 4th Grade:
CSI: Forensic Science: June 5-9 (All Around the World); July 10-14 (Destination Exploration)
Did you ever wonder how crimes are solved with little apparent evidence or with so many or few suspects? If so, then join us for a week of CSI camp! Campers will learn science skills to collect and analyze data in order to solve a mystery and catch the whimsical culprit responsible.
Engineering 101: June 12-16 (All Around the World); July 17-21 (Destination Exploration)
Ignite your child’s curiosity about engineering! This hands-on camp will allow campers the opportunity to build, experiment, program, and design structures by using technology to enhance the understanding of why and how engineering works around us.
Scientific Investigation: June 19-23 (All Things Living); July 24-28 (All Around the World)
Engage in fun, interactive investigations to stimulate curiosity, and encourage cooperative discovery and problem solving. This camp will involve projects, science adventures and investigations. Move over Albert Einstein!
Mad Scientist: June 26-30 (All Around the World); July 31-August 4 (Destination Exploration)
Science is experimental, exploratory, and exciting! It’s all about the “aha!” moments in life….like when you figure out how something works, or realize that science and cooking go hand in hand! Campers will spend time learning about polymers and chemistry by creating their own slimy, gooey, fizzy, exploding, and smelly concoctions—and relating them to real world applications.
